Leading on Exercises

The employer representative will sometimes lead on setting the objectives of any exercises. They will then typically sit in the background and observe, only helping in situations where they need to, such as adding input when the group may be struggling, or when the group may be on the wrong track.

Make you feel welcome

The employer representatives are usually briefed and instructed to make the candidates feel welcome and comfortable throughout the day. They want to get to know you and get the best out of you so they can make an informed decision on whether to hire you or not.

Present their Observations/Assessment

At the end of the assessment day, when all candidates have left, the employers support staff will usually sit and discuss each candidates performance. Observations from the whole day are presented to the group and decisions made from the collective assessment.
